Batteries are a core part of any substation. Also, with the integration of Renewable Energy sources batteries will take even bigger part in the power system.  Long battery life is from a crucial importance because of the high battery price, so preventive maintenance and condition monitoring is important to increase the battery life.  

Power View Batteries Working Group takes part in researching testing and monitoring methods, battery cell technologies, but the core interests are real time monitoring and preventive maintenance:

• Hydrogen Monitoring 
• Electrolyte Analysis
