Transformers are the heart of any power system. It is important to continuously research new technologies, test methods, monitoring technology so higher level of transformer reliability is achieved.   

Power View Transformers Working Group takes part in publishing documents, test results, sharing experience, maintenance practices, monitoring and testing techniques. 

One of the main activities of the Power View Transformers Working Group is sharing test results and practices about specific types of transformers. Some of the test methods that are discussed are: 

• Insulation Resistance 
• Winding Resistance  
• Turns Ration  
• FRSL 
• Oil Analysis 

The Power View Transformer Working Group also researches monitoring technologies that would make the maintenance process easier, also to promote preventive maintenance. The members of Power View Transformers Working Group participated in the development of: 

• Transformer DGA monitoring system 
• Fault Gas monitoring system 
• Leakage current monitoring 
• Partial Discharge Monitoring 
• Bushing Monitoring system 
• Implementation of Internet of Things  

The goal of this group is to revolutionize transformer testing, monitoring and maintenance technologies.
